2. Scope
This Notice covers processing carried out through wokology.hu. Wolt and the FoodBird corporate ordering system at rendeles.wokology.hu are separate services. Orders, payments and personal-data processing on those services are governed by the relevant service’s own privacy notice and terms.
3. Data, purposes and legal bases
3.1 Website operation and security
When you open the website, our hosting provider (Netlify) processes technical log data, including IP address, timestamp, requested page, and browser and device information. The purpose is secure operation, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. The legal basis is the legitimate interests of Wokology and visitors in a secure service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log data is retained by the hosting provider for the period set out in its own privacy policy.
The website’s fonts, images and videos are served from our own hosting; no external service is loaded for them.
3.2 Contact and enquiry form
Data: name, company name (optional), phone number or email address, service type, expected headcount, planned date of the meal and description of needs.
Purpose: to respond to your enquiry, prepare an offer and communicate with you.
Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) or, for business contacts, Wokology’s legitimate interest in business communication (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How it is processed: form submissions are delivered by email to info@wokology.hu through Google Workspace and are also recorded in an internal, access-restricted Google Sheet.
Retention: 12 months after the last substantive contact, or longer where required for a contract or legal claim.
3.3 Email and telephone communication
Message content and metadata are processed to communicate with you and to document the enquiry. They are retained for 12 months after the matter is closed, or for the period required by legal or accounting obligations.
3.4 Language preference
The website remembers your chosen language (English or Hungarian) in your browser’s local storage (“wok-lang”) so that the next page opens in the same language. This contains no personal data and is not transmitted anywhere.
3.5 Google Maps
On the Contact page, Google Maps is loaded only when you click “Show map”. Google may then process technical data such as your IP address and device information and may set its own cookies. The legal basis is your consent, given by clicking the button (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). See the Google Privacy Policy for details. The “Get directions” button opens Google Maps in a new tab.
3.6 Analytics and marketing
The website does not use any analytics, measurement or advertising tools (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel). If such a tool is introduced in the future, it will be activated only after your prior consent, and this Notice and the Cookie Policy will be updated.
4. Processors and recipients
- Website hosting: Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA.
- Email and form processing: Google Workspace – Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
- Website developer and technical maintainer, only where access is necessary and subject to confidentiality.
- Authorities, legal advisers and accountants, where disclosure is required by law or necessary for legal claims.
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, particularly in the United States. Where this occurs, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision.
5. Your rights
You may request information about and access to your personal data, request rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests and, where applicable, request data portability. You may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Please send requests to info@wokology.hu.

6. Automated decisions and security
We do not use solely automated decision-making or profiling through this website that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure and loss.
